Is a peace deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia inevitable? Following the announcement of the normalization of relations between Israel and Morocco, the fourth Arab country to do so in four months, Senior Advisor to President Trump, Jared Kushner, commented on the possibility of a similar deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia. “Israel and Saudi Arabia coming together and having full normalization at this point is an inevitability, but the timeframe… is something that has to be worked out,” Kushner said. Saudi Arabia has long been rumored to be the one of the Arab countries considering normalize relations with Israel due to their shared concerns regarding Iran. Reportedly, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman, is in favor of a deal, but his father King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is opposing it. A secret meeting between PM Netanyahu, U.S Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the Crown Prince last month yielded no results. Saudi Arabia is also reluctant to make such a deal due to the potential Biden administration, which will be more favorable towards Iran.
