Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkish military units have begun moving to Libya to support a government that is based in Tripoli, recognized by the international community. This is after the Ankara Parliament approved a law that allows troops to be sent to the North African state to protect the country's interests in the region and the Mediterranean, and to "help achieve peace and stability" in the country. "There will be an operations center, there will be a Lieutenant Turkish general to lead and they will manage the situation from there. (Turkish soldiers) are starting to move there now," Erdogan told CNN's Turkish-language interview. Last month, Prime Minister Faiz a-Siraj's government sought the help of Turkey to repel the attack of General Sufi Huffar, based in the east of the country. It is supported by Russia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. Credit: Walla News
