Germany's Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Heiko Maas, announced today (Sunday) that a follow-up committee on the Libyan conflict will be set up, with the purpose of taking further steps to reach a ceasefire.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that opposing parties in the Libyan conflict and their international supporters had agreed, during the Berlin summit, that the arms embargo should be respected and strengthened, in order to achieve a sustainable ceasefire in the area.
