The court in The Hague went on leave without a decision on an investigation against Israel.
The International Criminal Court in The Hague went on a summer break today (Friday) without making a decision on the request to open an investigation against Israel on suspicion of war crimes.
Political sources in Jerusalem estimate that the fact that the government postponed the annexation plans and the application of sovereignty was behind the judges' decision to suspend the decision till after the recess, and that the court will want to leverage the possibility of an investigation as a future whip on Israel, to deter it from future annexation plans.
