Illegal Land Theft in Judea & Samaria, Committed by Palestinians Author: Regavim Movement Palestinian Authority’s recipe for stealing Israeli land: 1. Identify a strategic point in Area C, an area under full Israeli jurisdiction. 2. Quickly build a school – funded by the European Union, of course. 3. Drag out the legal battle over the land for years, gradually wearing out the other side. In the meantime, continue to expand and populate the school’s surrounding areas. 4. Trust the Israeli authorities to postpone shutting down the school “until the end of the school year”. This buys you more time! 5. Once there are dozens of structures in this illegal outpost, with the school at the heart of it, be sure that the Israeli government won’t do anything. Political, international, and media pressure works wonders. 6. Successful land grab! The land is now yours. You have succeeded in preventing contiguity in the historic heartland of Israel! Sounds crazy, right? This is precisely what happened throughout the Adumim Region – in E1’s famous Khan Al-Ahmar, as well as the school built almost overnight near the Herodion, in the Nahal Machoch Nature Reserve north of Jerusalem, and more sites. As we write this, another such school is being erected - this time in eastern Gush Etzion, near the Jewish communities of Ma’ale Amos and Ibie HaNahal. Dozens of construction workers are working round the clock in order to establish a new Palestinian school in time for the start of the school year in September. While some may shrug indifferently, and others even encourage this illegal Palestinian activity, we refuse to give up in the Battle for Area C. The Jewish nation has returned to its ancestral homeland after a long exile in order to reinstate its national home. We have nothing against the Palestinians, and seek peace and prosperity for all.
