Should Trump support the expansion of Israeli sovereignty?
On January 28th President Trump unveiled his peace plan for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which included provisions that will allow Israel to enact sovereignty over Judea & Samaria and the Jordan Rift Valley.
Since then, such a declaration has been put on hold by PM Netanyahu for various reasons, including the political situation in Israel and the peace negotiations with the UAE and Bahrain.
With a potential pro-Palestinian Biden administration starting in January, the window for enacting sovereignty is closing, and may remain closed for the foreseeable future.
Such a move, however, could deteriorate the security situation in those territories and lead to another military conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.
Should President Trump support an Israeli enactment of sovereignty prior to January, as was hinted at by Mike Pompeo during his visit to Israel? Let us know in the comments.
