Foreign Minster Gabe Ashkenazi met today with the UAE’s first ambassador to Israel. Ashkenazi congratulated the ambassador and noted the important role of the UAE in leading change in the Middle East. “We have a historic opportunity to present a model of warm and comprehensive peace between countries and peoples. The opening of the Foreign Ministries in Abu Dhabi and Dubai are critical in establishing bilateral relations and promoting peace.” Tomorrow, the new ambassador and his Staff are expected to visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s national Holocaust memorial museum.
