Less than 10 Jews live in Yemen today, the Yemenite Jewish community used to be over 50,000.
13 Yemenite Jewish had to leave Yemen due to the civil war. Now there’s less than 10 left. Reports say the Iranian supported Houthi rebels are now controlling big portions of Yemen. The Jewish community moved to Cairo but refused to move to Israel according to “Times of Israel” report. Most Yemenite Jews moved to Israel after it was founded and due to increasing antisemitism after the independence war in 1948.
Since 2014 when the Houthis rose to power in most of Northern Yemen, one of their chants was “Death to the Jews” as they teach Jewish hatred in elementary schools.
