Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi is expected to visit Iran today or tomorrow, government sources told al-Arabi al-Jadid newspaper.
Al-Kadhimi is expected to meet with Iranian officials and explain to them that Iraq's participation in the summit in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in the presence of US President Joe Biden, is not part of a joint alliance against Iran, but aims to strengthen international relations for Iraq and to discuss economic issues
According to the same sources, it was also reported that a visit to Iran by Al-Kadhimi is also expected to address the issue of Iranian gas imports into the country, and the issue of the water crisis in Iraq, following recent Iraqi accusations against Iran of diverting water sources.
