Energy Minister Karin Elharrar (from Lapid party "Yesh Atid") announced a reversal of her ealier decision to stop all gas search and Israel will now resume natural gas exploration. 

This is a move that comes in light of the radical changes in the energy market following the war in Ukraine, and in light of the direct appeal of the Europeans to Israel to export gas.

The decision came despite Elharrar's plan to halt all searches for natural gases during 2022 in order to focus on renewable energies, which she announced on December 15.
