Is Israel going to elections!?

With Zoabi's departure from the coalition, the Bennett government will have only 59 seats in the Knesset, giving the Opposition an absolute majority.

MK Ghaida Rinawie Zoabi (Meretz) penned a letter to Foreign Minister Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) Thursday afternoon, informing him that she plans on leaving the coalition, and will not be serving as consul-general to Shanghai.

Rinawie Zoabi, an Arab Israeli, added that “she cannot support a coalition that is disgracefully harassing the society I come from.”

Both Bennett and the left-wing Meretz party were reportedly surprised by her letter and learned of it from media reports.

How amusing that she thinks Arabs are being harassed. I only see Arabs wantonly trying to kill Jews, not the other way around.

They well never identify as Israeli so they can’t represent Israel

It's always difficult when you have a coalition that can black mail you when you are on a Rocky path. Accept it and face the challenges. Don't kow tow to them.
