The State Attorney's Office for Taxation and Economics today (Thursday) contacted the defense attorneys for the Alps cases of opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu and informed them that an "in-depth investigation" is being conducted following the media reports about the use of NSO tracking software in cases. The prosecutor's office also stated that they were "aware of the schedules."
News channel TV 13 reported last night that the police used spyware against key people involved in Netanyahu's cases. News 12 also published a recording in which two investigators in the 4000 case are heard talking about the use of the illegal measure during the breaks in one of the investigations of former Ministry of Communications Director General Shlomo Pilber, who later also served as a state witness.
