The vote in the Jordanian parliament over the removal of the King from his post as chairman of the National Security Committee is of great concern in the kingdom due to the attempts of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas to destabilize the kingdom and bring Iran into the country.

Hamas' attempts, led by Saleh Aruri, to infiltrate Judea and Samaria worry not only Israel but also Ramallah and Jordan. Hence, Hamas' efforts are currently the common denominator that obliges Palestinian and Jordanian Israel to cooperate.

The military forces of Israel and the Palestinian Authority are already operating in the Jenin district, and perhaps this is an opportunity to examine what is happening in Jordan, and the developments there are there to bother the king.

Although the territory in Jordan is calm now, and there are no violent phenomena like in Jenin, the Jordanian parliament gives the king headaches, and according to the reactions of journalists close to the palace, the king also sees the "Muslim Brotherhood" as the source of unrest.

Last week, the Jordanian parliament discussed changing the Basic Laws, and when it is required to attach the word Jordanian Men alongside Jordanian Women, to ensure gender equality. This proposal led to a great commotion that included cursing and exchanging blows.

Jordanian journalists close to the palace accused the "Muslim Brotherhood" of planning a provocation in parliament, and the elder Muslim Brotherhood of the older generation, Lith Shibilat, did not hesitate to blame the new generation of "brothers" in connection with foreign elements - that is: Iran. 

One should not think that Lith Shabilat is in the pocket of King Hussein as he had a very strained relationship with King Hussein, and he was jailed several times.

Jordanian publicist Ahmad Salameh said that when King Abdullah allowed Khaled Mashaal and Ismail Haniyeh to attend a senior funeral of the "brothers", they took advantage of the human gesture to persuade the locals to recognize them as leaders of the Islamic current of Jordan itself. 

The goal of the Muslim Brotherhood, according to Salameh, is to break Jordan apart as they divided the Palestinians, and this logic can be understood: as they opened an opening for Iran in Gaza, they want, by dividing Jordan, to allow Iran into the cracks as well.

Hence Aruri's attempts to infiltrate the West Bank are understood in Jordan as an attempt to infiltrate Jordan as well, on Iran's orders, and hence the need to coordinate with Israel and the Palestinian Authority the correct response measures.
