Israel offers assistance to Turkey following mine explosion

Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Defense Minister Benny Gantz offered on Saturday assistance to Turkey following the explosion in a coal mine which resulted in 41 dead.

"Israel stands with Türkiye in the aftermath of the horrible tragedy in Bartin province," Lapid tweeted.
"I conveyed to Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu our condolences to the victims’ families and wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded. I also offered Israel’s assistance at this difficult time."

It is unclear whether Turkey will accept our generous offer as of yet.
