Russia is formulating a decision in the Security Council against Israel following the attack attributed to it at the airport in Damascus, it was reported this morning (Sunday) here on Reshet Bet.

The attack attributed to Israel last week at the Damascus airport led to its shutdown, and also drew criticism of the move from Russia. The criticism led to a very unusual move - a Russian official move against Israel in the UN Security Council.

Senior Israeli officials confirmed that Russia was indeed formulating such an offer, but added that its chances of receiving support were not high. An Israeli source stressed that "Iran continues to use Syrian territory and the airport for arms smuggling."
