Liberate Al-Aqsa? Not in Saudi Arabia ...
Doron Peskin, Middle East Expert 19.04.2022
Although Saudi Arabia has condemned Israel's steps in recent days in Jerusalem, it does not allow people in the Kingdom to protest on the issue.
The Arab media reports that a Palestinian pilgrim was arrested today in Mecca while he was near Mecca calling for the release of Al-Aqsa.
The people around him responded by shouting "Amen." But immediately local security forces arrived in Palestine and arrested him.
The Palestinian's detention was reportedly extended to five days.
It should be noted that Saudi Arabia arrested Hamas representatives in its area about two years ago and sees this organization as a terrorist organization.
