On January 31, 2022, Al-Etejah TV (Iraq) aired a report about a campaign launched by the Iraqi Hizbullah Brigades to collect money to finance the Yemeni Houthis’ drone project.
The report explained that the campaign, which is titled “Your Money Means Drones,” has already collected one billion Iraqi dinars, which is roughly the equivalent of $685,000.
An unidentified Shiite scholar said in the report that “everyone must stand with the Yemeni people” and that the drones will be used to “retaliate” against Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
He explained that the only way to defeat the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Israel is by giving them a “taste of their own medicine.”
