On the anniversary of the Guardian of the Walls: A survey of the "Security" movement (Bithonistim) reveals alarming data
69% of the Jewish public in Israel express concern for the fate of the state, and 67% believe that action should be taken with firearms and the imposition of fines in order to prevent riots and frictions between Jews and Arabs.
The survey, which examined the Israeli sense of security and governance among a sample of 1,068 people, Jews and Arabs alike, was conducted by the movement's research department.
The findings show that only 25% of Israeli Arabs believe that the Jewish people have a right to sovereignty in the Land of Israel, and a considerable majority - about 75% - believe that the Jewish people do not have such a right.
However, when asked about their position in the existence of a war of existence between Israel and the Arab states, the Arab sector provided surprising answers: about 23% of respondents emphasized that they would support countries attacking Israel, compared to 26% who would support the State of Israel. About 51% responded that they would not support either side.
