The police and customs officers in the Yaz province, which is controlled by the Houthis (pro-Iranians), destroyed a commercial cargo of clothes made in Israel yesterday. The shipment reportedly made its way from a region of Eden controlled by Houthi opponents backed by Saudi Arabia and the Emirates. The shipment included 620 items of clothing made in Israel, reported in the local media.
The Houthi representatives claimed that locating the shipment indicated that Saudi Arabia and the Emirates were trying to impose on Yemen the "culture of normalization" with Israel. The same representatives promised that they would continue their efforts to prevent the smuggling of Israeli products and called this a "religious and moral commitment as well as a national necessity"
