Private sources have confirmed to the Syrian media agency "Zeitun" that Iranian militias have begun evacuating the T-4 military airport in the eastern rural area of Homs province, following pressure from Russia.
Sources said two militias withdrew with their heavy and light weapons from the airport, and the rest of the militias would evacuate their positions at a later date.
Sources noted that the two retreating militias are the Afghan Patmon Brigade, and they were moving towards Fuj 137 and the Imam Ali base near the city of Albuqmal in the eastern rural area of Deir a-Zour province, near the border with Iraq.
According to the source, the move came after direct Russian pressure on Iranian militias, noting that they had begun rehabilitating a new training center and canals on the Syrian-Iraqi border, near the al-Qa'im crossing.
It should be noted that T-4 Airport has been the subject of a number of Israeli attacks in recent years, during which arms and ammunition shipments and headquarters of the Iranian militias have been attacked.
