The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly attacks the approval of the death penalty by the Israeli government and calls for international action against it. In practice: the death penalty exists in the Palestinian Authority
Yesterday the Palestinian Foreign Ministry published a letter in the English language in which it strongly condemned the death penalty - "the barbaric, extreme, cruel and inhuman punishment", according to the ministry, which Israel approved as part of the cabinet meeting.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on the international community not only to condemn the matter but also to exert real pressure on Israel regarding the punishment that threatens Palestinian existence.
In this context, it is worth mentioning that the death penalty exists in the Palestinian law book and under the signature of the Rais, it can be implemented (even if Hamas, for example, which judges according to the Palestinian law did not wait for the signature of the Rais when it applied the death penalty).
The US also has the death penalty, so the Palestinian call for action by the UN and human rights organizations against Israel in this matter takes on another amusing angle.
