The Facebook page of Jerusalem Prayer Team (JPT), an organization established almost 20 years ago with a following of 76 million, was taken down by the social media network due to an antisemitic campaign.
A concentrated effort from Pakistan, Indonesia and Turkey targeted JPT with over 1 million comments, Dr. Mike Evans, founder of the Friends of Zion and President of JPT, told CBN News about the incident.
“Facebook, rather than contact Bible believers and find out the truth, they responded to radical Islamic 9/11 ‘would-be’s’ -- and pulled us down,” Dr. Evans said.
“People came from antisemitic groups, calling for a second Holocaust, attacking us personally, making threats upon us personally,” Michael Evans Jr. told CBN News.
Facebook responded with a laconic and vague comment, stipulating that “We removed Jerusalem Prayer Team’s Facebook page for violating our rules against spam and inauthentic behavior.”
