A warship under construction for the Iranian army called "Talia" - capsized in the army shipyard in Bander Abbas, killing a Navy man.

According to Iranian websites, the patrol and spy ship "Talia" was under construction. It lost its balance on Iranian Navy's No. 2 production platform, at the Bender Abbas port, on Sunday, and overturned to the left. An Iranian soldier was killed in this accident.

It is worth noting that this military ship is of the "Moj" type - "Moj" and was initially called "Shiraz", before being called "Talia". It weighs 1500 tons and can carry helicopters. The Iranian navy began producing it in 2013, but the production process has been halted for a long time and has recently resumed. 

Although the Archiben website, which specializes in military matters, reported that the possibility of rehabilitating this ship is currently being investigated, but referring to this incident the site reported that "the basic problem is that the Navy has lost ships in recent years, similar to the one it lost during the war" Iraq-Iran), in addition to the recent loss of the strategic ship "Khark".

The chief commander of the Iranian navy, Amir Sheikhi, previously announced in an interview with the Fars news agency that "60 percent of the production process of the patchwork ship has been completed." Last June, the Command of the Iranian Navy announced the sinking of the Iranian ship "Khark", emphasizing that "efforts to rescue the ship Khark were in vain… the strategic ship sank".
