The Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, met today with the President of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiadis, as part of the trilateral Israel-Greece-Cyprus summit.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Orit Farkash-Hacohen, and the Deputy Minister of Innovation and Technology, Kyriakos Kokkinos, signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of scientific research and technology to promote scientific excellence in Israel and Cyprus. The agreement strengthens the scientific and technological cooperation between Israel and Cyprus, and provides a new framework for the promotion of ideas and research between the two governments.
Bennett: "Relations between our nations are stronger than ever, thanks in large part to your initiative and leadership. We understand and appreciate that.
At a time when destructive forces are trying to become even more destructive, it is extremely important that we, the positive forces, work together to maintain prosperity, defense and the economy in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
The relationship between our two nations is beyond the common interests. We share common values ??and sometimes, common problems as well. I am very much looking forward to the bilateral conference today with the participation of Greece, Cyprus and Israel.
Welcome to Jerusalem, Mr. President.
