DF Spokesman: The Chief of General Staff, Major General Aviv Kochavi, earlier today visited the units participating in the effort to locate the terrorists. The chief of staff arrived at the joint squadron, from where the efforts to locate the fleeing prisoners are taking place, where he also met the fighters of the "Marul" unit who assisted in locating the terrorists in the morning.

During the visit, the Chief of Staff held a situation assessment with the Northern District Commander of the Israel Police, representatives of the General Security Service, representatives of the Border Police, IPS, Chief of Staff, Commander of the Menashe Brigade and commanders of special units, during which he was briefed on their activities and their planning for continuing efforts.

In the words of the Chief of Staff, Lt. Col. Aviv Kochavi: "Cooperation between the varied units and professionalism is the key to locating the terrorists, as has been proven in recent days. This is an event that has regional influences and projections in additional sectors, and we are preparing for all scenarios.

I welcome the results so far, and we will continue our efforts until all the remaining terrorists are caught.
Thousands of fighters in the field, at headquarters and in intelligence units are trying to crack down and capture the terrorists. We will do whatever is required, with all our might, using depth capabilities, technology, intelligence and special means.
