In 1999, the Supreme Islamic Authority (WAKF) began digging on the Temple Mount and trucks began to take the “refuse” away. Israeli archeologists were alerted and stepped in.
For 18 years, archeologists and many volunteers have been working since then, sifting through all the dirt where they have found literally tens of thousands of artifacts inside. This project goes on daily, and probably will for several years to come.
At the Moriah Workshop skilled jewelry artisans are challenged to preserve the raw integrity of each Jerusalem Stone, harvested at Mount Moriah, which serves as the bedrock for the diamonds and gold that are meticulously inlayed in the stone by hand. The result is a unique visual statement, never before achieved in a high-quality, exclusive diamond jewelry collection.
