Since March, nuclear talks between Iran and the United States appear to be stalled.
According to sources in Iran, what changed the equation was the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the rise in oil prices. Iran, which does not publish its oil export data for obvious reasons, exports an estimated 1.5 million barrels a day, mainly to China, and enjoys rising prices. It is worth noting that after the US withdrawal from the agreement, Iran's oil exports deteriorated to 200,000 barrels of oil per day alone. Therefore, at present the Iranians believe that the removal of sanctions is not so urgent for them.
But that is not the whole story, in parallel with the increased revenues, sources in Iran claim that the nuclear program is progressing and therefore if there is no agreement in the end it is not in terms of the "end of the world" ayatollahs.
