Authorities in Saudi Arabia have announced that during the current pilgrimage season, believers will be provided with Wi-Fi service at Al-Masjid al-Haram ("Holy Mosque") in the city of Mecca.
This is the most important place for Islam as this mosque surrounds the Kaaba. According to the authorities' announcement on Saturday, Wi-Fi will be possible at seven sites in this complex. They said that this is part of the technological transformation that Saudi Arabia is undergoing as part of the "2030 Vision".
It was further stated that connecting to the network for free will allow believers to get relevant information more easily.
