It is worth noting that the Iraqi authorities have evacuated all land, sea and air ports from highly hazardous materials, implementing the guidelines of Prime Minister Mustafa Alkazmi, after setting up an urgent committee to identify high-risk substances (chemical, dual-use, nitrogen ammonia) at all border crossings and taking all measures Practical for removing them from civilian areas and population centers.

In September 2020, the Port Authority of Iraq emptied 3 containers laden with highly hazardous materials, belonging to the Ministry of Electricity, in the northern area of the port of Umm Qasr.
