The summit was called on to try and reduce the tensions in Judea and Samaria
During the summit, the Palestinian delegation is expected to demand the addition of 10,000 members of Palestinian mechanisms and the training of 5,000 members of existing mechanisms, as well as the possibility of bringing in weapons and equipment that will be used for the benefit of the mechanisms, a senior PA source reports to the Lebanese newspaper "Al-Akhbar".
The Authority is also expected to demand the establishment of a joint Palestinian-Israeli-American military force whose purpose is to prevent major IDF operations without coordination with all parties.
Al-Sheikh and the members of the delegation are also expected to demand extensive security coordination between the Palestinian Authority and American and Israeli security forces - this is in order to deal with the incitement spread by elements in Gaza who encourage the residents of the West Bank to confront the security forces.
The report also stated that in the political field the delegation is expected the Palestinian Authority to call for a halt to new construction permits in the settlements and to examine the possibility of returning to negotiations with Israel.
