The Moriah Collection project was born from a vision created by Mr. Avi Tavisal, a leading Israeli jeweler, whose family has lived in Jerusalem for more than 7 generations.
In 1999, Avi heard about the illegal excavations that caused severe damage to the Temple Mount. A volunteer sifting center was set up immediately to save some of the ancient treasures that were nearly destroyed.
Avi became a major contributor to the salvation efforts; he had a vision. He realized that the sanctity of these ancient stones could connect people from all over the world with the spirituality of “Holy Jerusalem”.
Equipped with all the necessary permits to use stones from Jerusalem, Avi began to realize his vision and so, the exceptional Moriah Collection was born.
By combining ancient stones which were salvaged by the sifting project by archeologists next to the Temple Mount (aka Mount Moriah), and placing them in a special setting, anyone can own a piece of Jerusalem’s triumphant history.
We attach a Certificate of Authenticity to each piece of jewelry, confirming that the source of the stone comes from the Temple Mount, the heart of the Holy City of Jerusalem for more than three thousand years.
