In Umm al-Fahm the winds are stormy in the face of an administrative arrest of one of the city's residents when the circumstances are still unclear. Today, the Magistrate's Court in Haifa approved an administrative detention order against the Arab student and Israeli activist Said Muhammad Jabarin (pictured). To date, no administrative detention period has been set against Jabarin.
It should be noted that the Israeli police arrested Jabarin at the beginning of Ramadan, on April 3. He was taken to the Gilboa detention center and, according to his family, was interrogated by the GSS while prevented from meeting with a lawyer. The background to the said detention was not disclosed. Jabarin is considered a prominent activist in his hometown.
NEWSRAEL: Most of the times Israel uses "administrative" arrests is when they have 100% proof he is guilty, but the intelligence came from a source that would "burn" a special Shabak agents) if it was known. This proof and intel must be brought and shown to the judge and it is the judge that either gives the OK, or not.
It is “part of the game” during the interrogation that the lawyers defending the terrorists try to learn as much as they can about the intel that the Shabak has and how it got it.
