A senior Ukrainian security official announced the killing of Iranian military advisers in Crimea, and warned that his country's forces would attack any other Iranian found in the occupied territory of Ukraine.
The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, said that "Iranians were in the Crimea, to assist Russia in operating the Iranian drones Shahed-136" that Tehran is providing to Moscow.
The Iranian official did not mention the number of Iranian casualties in the war in Ukraine, but he threatened that his country would target "any additional military presence in Ukraine", according to the Guardian.
Last October, reports in the Israeli press stated that 10 Iranians were killed in Ukrainian military attacks in Crimea, which was annexed by the Kremlin in 2014.
