New details about IDF commando Gaza raid 2019

A week ago, the IDF uncovered a covert operation they carried out inside the Gaza Strip three years ago, which led to the killing of its commander Druze Mahmoud Khir al-Din and the injury of his deputy. The operation was unsuccessful and the mission was not completed after Hamas forces chanced upon them - the Syrian news site Eldorar a-Shamia reports.

During this operation and the exchange of fire, the commander of the Qassam forces, Nur Bracha and his deputy, were killed, and two others were wounded, and the IDF unit was able to escape and return to Israeli territory.

The purpose of Israel's covert operation was to implant listening devices for communications systems within the Gaza Strip, according to the Syrian news site Eldor a-Shamia.
