Shortly before the resumption of talks in Vienna on the nuclear deal, The Economist publishes an interesting chart. It presents the ranking of the countries on which the United States imposes sanctions.
As can be seen as of the beginning of the year Iran is at the top of the table without competitors with over 1700 individuals and bodies under sanctions. Syria is far second with about 680 entities on the sanctions list. Far behind.
