After casting votes, parks, nature reserves beckon Israelis on their day off

From the north to the far south, natural gems await the public wishing to leave elections and their pressure behind and make most of their day off work to enjoy birds on their way south to Africa and the early days of fall.

As Israel begins its 5th election round in 3.5 years, many have already cast their ballots and are now free to enjoy a day off work. Ynet collected some options for those wishing to venture out but not too far from home.

Gazelle Valley Park
The Gazelle Valley Park is the largest urban nature resort in Israel. It is run by the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, which continuously develops and maintains its ecosystem, and provides tours and educational activities to the general public.
