Attacks on Israel’s south from the Gaza Strip renewed on Friday afternoon with rocket barrages launched at Ashdod, Ashkelon, Kiryat Gat, and the Gaza envelope.
The firing came after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched one of its largest attacks in recent years overnight Thursday, bombarding a vast number of targets in the northern Gaza Strip, which were mostly launching pits.
After the attack, in which artillery batteries and Navy warships took part, and which lasted for approximately 20 minutes, Palestinians reported a massive evacuation of residents from the northern Strip toward its south.
During the rocket attacks against Israel, a 57-year-old man was moderately injured from shrapnel and a 90-year-old was lightly wounded.
Sheba hospital in Ramat Gan pronounced the death of a 50 years old woman who was injured 3 days ago while running to shelter. She is the 9th Israeli victim since the round of fighting began.
The Hamas’s Health Ministry in Gaza reported that a total of 119 people were killed. In addition, some 600 individuals were injured.
