During the night, IDF, and SWAT forces entered the Jenin area, carried out siege operations, and captured the fleeing terrorists. The operation was assisted in a joint operation by an intelligence effort, as well as aircraft from the 100th Air Force Squadron and crews of Unit 9900 from the Intelligence Division.
As of the eve of Rosh Hashanah, crews from the 100th Squadron flew in cooperation with crews of 9,900 and assisted in the search for the terrorists who escaped from Gilboa Prison. The teams engaged in various missions that contributed to the success of capturing the terrorists, including contractual missions, photography, intelligence gathering, and escorting the forces on the ground during the operation to arrest them.
Two squadron planes, equipped with quality sensors, participated in the activity last night when one of the planes dealt with contracts, aerial photography from a height, and the other plane dealt with a relay and transmitting information between the Brigade Command, and the ground forces in the field.
Crews assisted in incriminating the locator where the two inmates were staying, 'closed' a wig of a building, and scanned the area to warn of threats. In addition, the teams identified an attempt by the fleeing prisoners to escape through the roof and also assisted the force in locating the PSD and locating blockages on the force's planned route.
The air guidance helped the ground force make "two steps ahead" decisions and thus capture the last two terrorists who escaped from Gilboa Prison.
