A fire broke out Sunday in an open field in the Eshkol Regional Council along the Gaza border in Israel’s south.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, which could be an incendiary balloon launched from the Palestinian enclave.

Over the last several hours, Gazans have been spotted launching incendiary balloons toward the Gaza envelope.
