Trade with Morocco is low but rising
Doron Peskin, Middle East Expert 25.10.2021
The normalization agreement between Morocco and Israel has increased trade between the two countries although it is still quite low. Data from the first nine months of the year indicated that Israeli companies would export goods worth about $ 26 million, an increase of 165% compared to the same period last year.
In September this year, the value of exports of goods amounted to about $ 10 million.
Exports from Morocco during the period in question amounted to approximately $ 8.6 million.
It will be recalled that at the time of signing the agreement there was talk of a commercial potential of about $ 250 million a year, so at the moment the potential is far from being realized.
