There is no more "Arab Spring"

There is no more "Arab Spring", this is good news for Israel.

The elections held yesterday for the parliament in Morocco ended with a great drama that is also expected to benefit Israel. The bottom line is that the Islamist party in the last two elections (2011 and 2016) was the largest party and therefore the prime minister on its behalf, collapsed. Its number of seats has dropped from 125 to 12 out of 395 seats.

Outrage was expressed among the Moroccan public over the Islamist government’s economic failure to bring economic growth and job creation, even before the start of the Corona crisis. And so 10 years after the so-called "Arab Spring" there is no longer an Arab country in which Islamists lead the regime, an indication of the constant failure of political Islam to manage and execute its own populist slogans.

According to the election results, it is likely that the new prime minister in Morocco will be Aziz Akhanush and this is good news for Israel as well. Achanush, a tycoon ($ 2 billion) close to the king, was previously agriculture minister. Unlike the Islamist prime minister Al-Ottoman, who objected to the normalization with Israel, Ahanush (60) has no problem with Israel and even before the Avraham agreements he was "accused" of extensive ties with Israeli companies.
