The battle was decided by a Golden Score, the two embraced at the end. Moulay: "Another attack and Sagi would have beat me"

At the end of a historic battle between the Iranian and Sagi Muki, the Judoka now representing Azerbaijan defeated Sagi, after the meeting reached a Golden Score.

This was the first meeting of the two on the mat. Moulay, an Iranian representing Azerbaijan, who won the silver medal from the Tokyo Olympics, is a good friend of Muki and is very friendly with the Israeli association. At the end of the battle, the two warmly embraced.

As is may be recalled, Moulay  stopped representing Iran because the regime did not allow him to compete with the Israeli Muki. The judoka incidentally moved to represent Azerbaijan at the beginning of this campaign for Paris 2024.
