The IDF said an initial report was received of gunfire directed at Israeli forces operating in the Ramim Ridge area near the northern border. The troops returned fire and eliminated a terrorist in the area. No Israeli forces were injured.

The incident is still ongoing. IDF forces are conducting searches across the area, while Israeli Air Force aircraft have been dispatched to assist. The IDF said it remains in continuous contact with the local authorities.
