Last evening, Opposition leader, MK Banjamin Netanyahu made a statement on his Telegram account:
"The Bennett government is in complete loss of control. It has lost control of the contagion and management of the corona crisis, and is now losing control of the Negev.
Events in the Negev have one name: terrorism. Terror fueled by threats from RA'AM, Bennett's senior partner in the government. Lapid's immediate surrender to terrorism is an astonishing display of weakness and a basic lack of understanding of the reality in which we live.
Bennett must make it clear unequivocally that the tree plantings in the Negev will continue, despite Lapid's call and threats of RA'AM, and give full backing to the security forces to put an end to the riots. 'It will be the immediate end of the government.
NEWSRAEL: The "tree plantings Netanyahu is referring to is from the KKL plans tomorrow to plant trees in the Negev. IN the last years, the Arab Bedouins (and the voters for Ra'am) are claiming many parts of the Negev as "theirs". They are taking encouragement from Palestinian groups, mainly Hamas to take these steps. This could become an important issue in the near future.
The video attached shows Arab Bedouins last night burning cars, throwing rocks and fireworks in the south.
