Wave of deserting among Iranian militias in Syria

According to open Syrian sources, there seems to be a wave of desertions among Iranian militias from areas in Syria, including the Damascus area, one of the largest Iranian area of Shiite militias and their families.

Local Syrian sources have reported in recent days that elements of the Iranian militias stationed in the "Sayda Zeinab" area south of the capital Damascus have vacated their positions,  also a number of their senior officers who have left.

The reasons for this are the acute economic problems, but it is said that the real reason for this move is  a fear of the Iranians and the Shiite militias that they are going to be used as a target for attacking hostile elements.
