The IDF has given new orders where by IDF soldiers will be able to stop criminal activity in the same orders they have for stopping a terror attack.
The IM Tirzu movement, which accompanies the Mothers' March and is leading the public protest to change the opening fire regulations: "We welcome the important change in the fire opening regulations, IDF soldiers will finally be able to stop the theft of weapons from IDF bases."
However, there is still a long way to go to restore deterrence: as long as our soldiers are abandoned on the Gaza border with open fire regulations between them and there is no connection between protecting the lives of the fighters, their lives are still in danger. As those who accompany the mothers' march, we will continue to press and call on the military and political echelon to give IDF soldiers "tools to defend themselves!"
