The Israeli government has given in to the security services assessment that by stopping Jewish visits on the Temple Mount, there may a chance to calm down the regional war drums. Many religious and right-wing groups are angry at the decision, but they point the finger at the wrong target.
The true "culprit" here is Arab/Muslim intolerance. This intolerance of a religion which calls itself a "religion of peace” is a dirty stain on its very believers which can be likened to Nazism after WWII.
This intolerance is seen today in just about any place Muslims live throughout the world. If it was only against the Jews in Israel, one might be able to explain it as a response to war. But it is against Hindus, Buddhists, and every other religion.
All the minorities in the Middle East have felt the terrible oppression of this intolerance on themselves, be they Yazidi, Assyrian, Bahia, Kurds or Christians.
Not only do Muslims hate and oppress the "Ahmadi" sect of Islam, but also Sunni under Shia rule and Shia under Sunni rule.
In fact, the intolerance of anything that is not your belief seems to be the main trait of a majority of the world’s 1.8 BILLION believers.
The reason we see such hatred against Jews is because Jews were not only able to fight and defend themselves, but even to win. Not only to be able to win, but to hold on to the Holy land and make it flower and prosper. To be able to care for their people in the diaspora, but to bring them home and allow them to integrate and prosper.
Because of this, it is extremely interesting that in the origins or Islam - Saudi Arabia and the Arab Gulf - a very different phenomenon is occurring - one that is trying to undo this intolerance, and is not only to be commended, but to be supported fully.
