It's a bit unbelievable but tourists from Europe are expected to return to Syria as early as next year. Some travel agencies in Germany, France, England and other countries have started offering tour packages in Syria with the start of next year and in some cases it is no longer possible to register because all places have been booked.

Part of the explanation for this demand is the step taken by the Syrian government to renew tourist visas from last month after an 18-month hiatus due to the corona. It is important to note that tour packages in Syria are offered even though most European countries like Germany have issued travel warnings.

Most of the agencies that offer the trip to Syria are those that specialize in "adventurous tourism" and travel to destinations that are not usually as touristy as North Korea. Hence they offer special security and insurance arrangements. The proposed tours will be carried out only in the territories controlled by the Syrian regime, which for its part welcomes the arrival of tourists both in terms of image and in terms of foreign exchange entry.
