To the Nazis, she was A-17740. To us, she is Miriam, a brave Holocaust survivor and the great grandmother of ten young Israelis, including Corporal Hagar.

Miriam was sent to Auschwitz in 1944 with her entire family. She was the only one who made it out alive. 

We are the last generation to hear the stories of Holocaust survivors firsthand. It is our duty to remember.
