Mount Tabor stands some 420 metres above the plain in lower Galilee, 7km east of Nazareth. It held a strategic position at the junction of trade routes. Many battles have been fought at its foot.

In the Old Testament, Mount Tabor is described as a sacred mountain and a place for worship.

Beautiful!! It was also the mount of transfiguration of Jesus Christ when He was talking to Moses and Elijah in heaven. Peter, James and John of His disciples were with Him to witness & record it.
